In general, products from Deutsche Post do not offer a tracking service per se, this is why you may often get a 404 error when introducing a tracking ID related to them in the DHL Shipment Tracking - Unified API.
Deutsche Post offers the "base products" and, on the side, "additional services;" customers may choose to add an additional service to their order, like tracking (Einschreiben). However, there is no way to tell based only on the Tracking ID if a service has or does not have an additional service of tracking.
If you query a Tracking ID that you are certain exists, but you receive a 404 error, then most probably that product does not include tracking service by default, and the additional service wasn't purchased.
